This is Karan’s story, who’s favourite place in the whole world is his cupboard. It is a very relatable story for any child who is trying to understand themselves and their place in the world. Through Karan we see the pain of people who have to justify their thoughts, being and actions to the whole world and therefore are forced to find solace in isolated corners that seem safe and non-judgmental. We highly recommend that this book be read by children and adults so that there is some perspective on those who are not fully understood and how we can try to make them feel wanted and safe.
