There are many things to love about this book- the illustrations are beautiful and really help in telling the tale. The colours are vibrant, there are lovely block print patterns and is an overall joy to read with one’s eyes. We also loved the content which is well narrated from the child’s perspective and leaves the reader with a lot of curiosity, till the very end. However, what we loved most was the representation of a gullak (or piggy bank) which is a child’s personal treasure box, with which a child dreams of acquiring many small and big luxuries.
