This is a beautifully illustrated book which introduces the readers to the tradition of ‘Bhaona’, which is a form of drama performed in the Majuli island of Assam, and is almost a 500 year old tradition.
We absolutely loved the illustrations and how they helped in keeping us engaged throughout the book. The usage of colours, the detailing of the surrounding objects and the overall art of the book makes it very captivating for a reader. We also loved that this book introduced us to a folk tradition from our country which we didn’t know about. We have received very positive takeaways from anyone who has read this book.
